Coping with self-harm and
suicidal thoughts

Young Adults Group

Navigating life as a young adult can be hard. Dealing with new challenges at college, trying to find your own path, moving in with someone, starting a big job or just trying to do life with the people you love can be mentally exhausting.

These challenges cause a great amount of emotional pressure, often leading to self-harming behaviors as a way of coping with the stress.

In some cases, the distress is so severe that it leads someone to have suicidal thoughts.

Self-harm and suicidal thoughts can be hard to talk about because it can be linked to emotions we don’t know how to voice, and it can leave us feeling alone and isolated. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

There is a way out and you can feel better.
